2022 CCM 68 Futures- Minnesota
Minnesota Made Ice Center Edina, MN
June 9-12, 2022

200×85 hosted the fourth CCM 68 Futures for the 2009 birth-year this past weekend at Minnesota Made Ice Center in Edina, MN. The camp featured 4 boys teams (Black, White, Gold, Kelly) who spent the weekend competing during the on-ice training, the off-ice training, and the evening games.

 

All players had the opportunity to participate in a CCM Fast Scan, meet with the CCM Rep to learn about the newest CCM sticks and skates, and to try out the newest models during an open ice equipment demo hour.

 

FRIDAY GAMES:

Team 1 Black vs Team 2 White

The first game of the weekend provided back and forth action and ended in a 7-7 tie thanks to a 6v5 goalie-pulled game tying goal just before the buzzer. Team Black was led by Ryan Costanza (5A- Team Illinois), Talen Aling (3G- Team Illinois), Sidney Allen (2G- Florida Alliance), Chase Morgan (1G- Washington Little Caps), and Casey Hiller (1G- Portage Lake Flyers). Team White was led by Connor Wang (1G-2A- Minnesota Made), Joseph Avenevoli (2G- Carshield), Jackson Mahley (1G-1A- St Louis Knights), Harrington Walker (1G-1A- Nashville Warriors), and Charlie Barnes (1G- Omaha Jr Mavs).

Team 3 Gold vs Team 4 Kelly

The second game Friday evening saw Team 4 Kelly edge out Team 3 Gold by a final score of 6-4. Team 4 Kelly was led by Tyler Cooper (2G-1A- Chicago Reapers), Bennett Knutson
(2G-1A- Apple Valley), Caden Lauber (1G-1A- Arapahoe Warriors), and Alex Feltman (1G-Colorado Thunderbirds). Team 3 Gold’s top players on the evening were Jackson Meier (2 G-Apple Valley), Beckett Shillings (2A-Woodbury), Dylan Hahn (1G- Team Illinois), Seth Williams (1G-Nashville Warriors).

 

SATURDAY GAMES:

Team 1 Black vs Team 3 Gold

The second day’s slate of games started out with another offense heavy game, which Team 1 Black won by a final score of 8-6 over Team 3 Gold. Team 1 Black’s top players of the night were Ryan Costanza (2G-2A- Team Illinois), Sidney Allen (2G-1A- Florida Alliance), Talen Aling (1G-2A- Team Illinois), and Ryker Reiling (2G- St James Hockey Club).Team 3 Gold was led by Sam Snyder (2G-1A- Omaha Jr Mavs), Beckett Shillings (3A-Woodbury), Jackson Meier (3A-Apple Valley) and Lukie Lincoln (2G- Chicago Reapers).

Team 2 White vs Team 4 Kelly

The final game on Saturday saw Team 2 White beat Team 4 Kelly by a score of 6-4. Team 2 White was led on offense by Joseph Avenevoli (3A- Carshield), Oliver Pietras (2G- San Jose Jr Sharks), Connor Wang (1G- Minnesota Made), Cannen Justus (1G, Tampa Jr Lightning), Harrington Walker (1G, Nashville Warriors), and Gunner Gullstrand (1G- Portage Lake Flyers). Team 4 Kelly were led by Anton Gesink (2G-2A), Tyler Cooper (1G-1A- Chicago Reapers), Bennett Knutson (1G- Apple Valley).

SUNDAY GAMES:

Team 2 White vs Team 3 Gold

The final day of the combine began with Team 2 White dominating Team 3 Gold by a final score of 6-1. Team White was led on offense by Joseph Avenevoli (1G-1A- Carshield), Charlie Barnes (1G-1A- Omaha Jr Mavs), Oliver Pietras (1G- San Jose Jr Sharks), and Harrington Walker (1G-Nashville Warriors). The lone goal for Team 3 Gold came from Beckett Shillings (1G-Woodbury) and was assisted by Drew Brierely (1A- Chicago Mission).

Team 1 Black vs Team 4 Kelly

The last game of the weekend saw Team 1 Black win over Team 4 Kelly by a score of 10-7. Team 1 Black was led by Jack Johnson (2G-2A- Edina), Sidney Allen (1G-2A- Florida Alliance), and guest player from Team Gold due to players having to catch flights, Sam Snyder (1G-4A-Omaha Jr Mavs). Team 4 Kelly’s top performers Anton Gesink (2G- Chicago Reapers), Chandler Moore (1G-1A- Tampa Jr Lightning), and Caden Lauber (2A- Arapahoe Warriors).
