What to Expect from the 2022 CCM 68

Top players, coaches, and competition combine for an over-the-top experience.

The CCM 68 Presented by 200×85 is the best pound-for-pound Bantam Major camp in America. The top sixty-eight boys and girls players from the 2008 birth year will take to Chicago from August 11th – 14th to get one step closer to their junior, college, and professional hockey dreams.

No other training camp in America features this many U14 stars under one roof for four days of training, learning, and competing. This event is 90% subsidized by 200×85 and CCM because CCM 68 is designed to be a lifetime experience and opportunity for only the most elite players in the 14U age group, and not about financial status.

Over the last eight years, the CCM 68 has served as a launch pad for more than one hundred NCAA Division I players, thirty-two USA Hockey’s National Team Development Program players, and fifteen NHL stars.

In the 2022 NHL Draft, four out of the seven Americans drafted in the first round were CCM 68 Alumni, including Logan Cooley, Cutter Gauthier, Frank Nazar, and Rutger McGroarty, followed by nine more CCM 68 alumni in the subsequent rounds.

At the event, the thirty-six forwards, twenty-four defensemen, and eight goalies will split into four evenly-matched teams. These teams will run through training and testing that will highlight every aspect of the game, as well as educational instruction and competition.

Curious who was selected for this year’s CCM 68?   (use tabs at bottom for GIRLS/BOYS)

The combine-style testing component is one of the unique aspects of the CCM 68, as it provides athletes with the most advanced ice hockey evaluation and analysis system in the world. The on-ice testing combine utilizes a state-of-the-art gate system with automated timing and measurement, used for various on-ice testing combines that measure agility, speed, stick handling, and reaction time. Test scores will allow players to gauge their abilities against local and national percentiles.

Athletes in attendance will train with a star-studded coaching roster that they can’t get access to anywhere else.

This year’s coaching lineup features NHL, AHL, and NCAA coaches, including:

  • Derek Lalonde, Detroit Redwings (NHL); Head Coach
  • Seth Appert – Rochester Americans (AHL); Head Coach
  • Jackie Crum– University of Wisconsin (NCAA Women’s D1); Assistant Coach
